Kathryn Hatashita-Lee - Kathryn Hatashita-Lee

City life inspires stories and images for Kathryn Hatashita-Lee. Her first children's story was published in an anthology of Canadian historical fiction. She won the 1999 Asian Canadian Writers' Workshop Award for Emerging Writer. Her essay about learning disabilities will be published in the anthology Mothering Canada (Demeter Press, 2010).

Kathryn earned a B.A. in History and English at the University of British Columbia, and a B.F.A. in Photography at the Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design. She lives with her husband and their teenage son.
